Quadrospira postplicatus
Taxonomy
Neospirifer postplicatus was named by Archbold and Thomas (1986). Its type specimen is CPC24351, a shell (Articulated specimen), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is BMR KNF73, Bruten's Old Yard, Cherrabun Station, which is in an Artinskian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Noonkanbah Formation of Australia.
It was recombined as Neospirifer (Quadrospira) postplicatus by Archbold (1997); it was recombined as Quadrospira postplicatus by Williams et al. (2007).
