Taxonomy
Glyphiteuthis rhinophora was named by Fuchs et al. (2010). It is not extant. Its type locality is Tanque Nuevo, which is in a Cenomanian/Cenomanian offshore lime mudstone/wackestone in the Indidura Formation of Mexico.
