Taxonomy
Celyphia bacula was named by Belyaeva (2000). Its type specimen is Far East Geol Inst 15-MB thin sec. 17-3 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tonglu, China, which is in a Capitanian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the Lengwu Formation of China.
