Anasibirites pluriformis was named by Guex (1978). Its type specimen is Mus. Hist. Nat. Geneva G-P 25, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Truempyceras pluriformis by Brühwiler and Bucher (2012), Dai et al. (2023).
