Vertipecten porterensis

Taxonomy
Pecten porterensis was named by Weaver (1912). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Oakville, west, which is in a Miocene marine sandstone in Washington.

It was recombined as Pecten (Chlamys) porterensis by Clark (1925), Durham (1944); it was recombined as Pecten (Vertipecten) porterensis by Grant and IV and Gale (1931); it was recombined as Vertipecten porterensis by Addicott (1974).
