Taxonomy
Praekolymia urbajtisae was named by Biakov (2008). Its type specimen is NEISRI 101/02-06.98, a valve (Left valve), and it is a cast. Its type locality is Pravyy Vodopadnyy Creek, Outcrop 1, Bed 4, Omolon Massif, which is in a Kungurian marine siliciclastic in the Dzhigdali Formation of the Russian Federation.
