Kayentatherium wellesi
Taxonomy
Kayentatherium wellesi was named by Kermack (1982). Its type specimen is UCMP 83671, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is San Bernale locality, Many Farms (UCMP loc. V6897), which is in a Sinemurian/Pliensbachian fluvial-lacustrine sandstone in the Kayenta Formation of Arizona. It is the type species of Kayentatherium.
