Borealestes serendipitus
Taxonomy
Borealestes serendipitus was named by Waldman and Savage (1972). Its type specimen is BRSUG 20570, a mandible (Left mandible with two premolars and part of a third, four molars fully erupted, one unerupted and alveolus of a sixth), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UB 7111, Cladach a'Ghlinne, which is in a Bathonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal marl in the Kilmaluag Formation of the United Kingdom.
