Taxonomy
Svalbardiceras qinghaiense was named by Wang and Chen (1979). Its type specimen is NIGP 33948 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Baluogenguole XX-F313-3, Wulan County, which is in a Spathian marine horizon in the Longwuhequn Formation of China.
