Taxonomy
Bandoproductus youdalensis was named by Briggs (1998). Its type specimen is UNE F12509, a valve (Ventral valve external mold), and it is a mold. Its type locality is UNE L1081, Bourke, Hastings Block, which is in an Asselian marine siltstone in the Mooraback Formation of Australia.
