Taxonomy
Monticulifera minor was named by Tong (1978). Its type specimen is Sb 4071 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Changjianggou Section, Maokou Fm, Shangsi, Guangyuan County, which is in a Wordian shallow subtidal limestone in the Maokou Formation of China.
