Taxonomy
Punctospirifer guangyuanensis was named by Lu (1978). Its type specimen is Sb 4152 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ganwengou, Chejiaba, Guangyan County, which is in a Changhsingian carbonate limestone in the Changxing Formation of China.
