Neoplicatifera elongata
Taxonomy
Productus elongatus was named by Huang (1932) [Productus (Marginifera) typicus var. elongatus]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lopotung T311a, Hsifeng-hsien, which is in a Roadian/Capitanian carbonate limestone in the Maokou Formation of China.
It was recombined as Marginifera elongata by Fantini Sestini (1965), Tong (1978), He et al. (2008), He et al. (2009); it was recombined as Paraplicatifera elongata by Zhao and Tan (1984); it was recombined as Costispinifera elongata by Liang (1990); it was recombined as Neoplicatifera elongata by Jin and Ye (1979), Lu (1982), Shen et al. (2017).
It was recombined as Marginifera elongata by Fantini Sestini (1965), Tong (1978), He et al. (2008), He et al.
