Taxonomy
Oxycolpella mulica was named by Sun et al. (1979). Its type specimen is NIGP 42952 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Xiaoduosuo River hu8, Muli, Tianjun County, which is in an Anisian marine horizon in the Junzihe Formation of China.
