Eosuchus minor

Taxonomy
Gavialis minor was named by Marsh (1870). Its type specimen is YPM 282, a partial skull (fragmentary skull and vertebrae), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Shark River, which is in a Ypresian coastal sandstone in the Manasquan Formation of New Jersey.

It was recombined as Thecachampsa minor by Cope (1872); it was recombined as Eosuchus minor by Delfino et al. (2005) and Brochu (2006); it was recombined as Thecachampsoides minor by Norell and Storrs (1989), Brochu (2004) and Puértolas et al. (2011).
