Mesopunctia macropustulosus

Taxonomy
Notospirifer macropustulosus was named by Waterhouse (1968). Its type specimen is NZGS BR 708, a valve (Ventral valve internal mold), and it is a mold. Its type locality is GS6071, Letham Burn (D44/f9622), which is in a Capitanian marine horizon in the Mangarewa Formation of New Zealand. It is the type species of Mesopunctia.

It was recombined as Mesopunctia macropustulosus by Waterhouse (1998).
