Irajatherium hernandezi
Taxonomy
Irajatherium hernandezi was named by Martinelli et al. (2005). Its type specimen is UFRGS-PV 0599T, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 8 km west Candelaria, BR 287, Sesmaria do Pinhal 1, which is in a Norian fluvial sandstone in the Caturrita Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Irajatherium.
