Hemizyga (Hemizyga) bilineata was named by Batten (1966) [Hemizyga (Hemizyga?) bilineata]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cliff Quarry, 450 yards W27˚S of Compton Martin Church, Compton Martin, Mar, which is in a Brigantian carbonate limestone in the Hotwells Formation of the United Kingdom.
