Hyposaurus derbianus
Taxonomy
Hyposaurus derbianus was named by Cope (1885). Its type specimen is MN, a partial skeleton (Left malar and quadratojugals, nearly complete lower jaw, several vertebrae, humerus, coracoid and several dermal bones), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pernambuco, which is in a Danian marine horizon in the Maria Farinha Formation of Brazil.
