J.-C. Rage et al. 2008 | "Differs from all other snakes, except Nigerophis, in having prezygapophyseal buttresses compressed, forming a vertical ridge, prolonged by anteriorly oriented prezygapophyseal processes. Differs from Nigerophis in having very lightly built vertebrae, a wide and thin zygosphene, a blade−like and long neural spine, well−marked subcentral ridges, and paracotylar foramina (irregularly occurring)."
