Prognathodon sectorius

Taxonomy
Liodon sectorius was named by Cope (1871). Its type specimen is AMNH 1401, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pemberton Marl Company pit (Navesink), which is in a Maastrichtian marginal marine horizon in the Navesink Formation of New Jersey.

It was recombined as Tylosaurus sectorius by Hay (1902) and Hay (1930); it was recombined as Prognathodon sectorius by Schulp et al. (2008) and Driscoll et al. (2019).
