Taxonomy
Stenodiscus moniliformis was named by Crockford (1945). Its type specimen is AM F37475 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Collinsvale Quarry, Hobart, which is in a Kungurian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Berriedale Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Stenodiscus.
