Taxonomy
Palaeonucula prisca was named by Kurushin (1985). Its type specimen is IGiG 753/60 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nyykaabyt River, outcrop 41, layer 4, Lower Olenek river basin, which is in a Spathian marine siliciclastic in the Ysmanakh Formation of the Russian Federation.
