Taxonomy
Platyceras gracile was named by Mansuy (1913). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kham-keut, at Kham-mon (Schwagerina princeps horizon), which is in an Asselian/Sakmarian carbonate limestone in Laos.
It was recombined as Orthonychia gracilis by Delpey (1941).
