Taxonomy
Corynospongia tubuliforma was named by Deng (1990). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hongqiao, Xingwen County, which is in a Roadian/Capitanian carbonate limestone in the Maokou Formation of China. It is the type species of Corynospongia.
