Taxonomy
Timorites takaizumii was named by Ehiro and Araki (1997). Its type specimen is IGPS 103125 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kurosawa B-1, which is in a Capitanian deep-water mudstone in the Ochiai Formation of Japan.
