Gervilleia (Angustella) praeangusta was named by Frech (1911). It is a mold. Its type locality is Mingshan Coalfield, Loping Area, which is in a Lopingian carbonate limestone in China.
It was recombined as Ensipteria praeangusta by Fang (1987).
