Taxonomy
Paradoxipecten opisthoclinus was named by Zhang (1981). It is a mold. Its type locality is Yuanjia, Jiahe Region (Longtan Fm), which is in a Wuchiapingian marine siliciclastic in the Longtan Formation of China.
