Taxonomy
Sutchanites oleinikovi was named by Zakharov (1994). Its type specimen is DVGI 41/825 and is a mold. Its type locality is Vodopadnaya, P2507, Partizanskaya Region, which is in a Changhsingian deep-water tuff/siltstone in the Lyudyanza Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Sutchanites.
