Taxonomy
Gastrioceras roemeri was named by Gemmellaro (1887). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rupe del Passo di Burgio, calcare compatto, Sosio, which is in a Wordian carbonate limestone in Italy.
It was recombined as Altudoceras roemeri by Ruzhentsev (1974), Leonova (2002).
