Sicilioceras paternoi
Taxonomy
Orthoceras paternoi was named by Gemmellaro (1889). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rupe del Passo di Burgio, calcare compatto, Sosio, which is in a Wordian carbonate limestone in Italy. It is the type species of Sicilioceras.
It was recombined as Sicilioceras paternoi by Shimanskiy (1954).
