Taxonomy
Geczyceras martinezae was named by Kovács (2009). Its type specimen is Eotvos University A1101 and is a cast. Its type locality is Kis-Gerecse Quarry, Gerecse Mts, bed No. 58, which is in a Thouarsense basinal (carbonate) marl in the Kisgerecse Formation of Hungary.
