Taxonomy
Geczyceras galaczi was named by Kovács (2009). Its type specimen is Eotvos University A1100 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bánya-hegy trench, Gerecse Mts, bed No. 16, which is in a Toarcian basinal (carbonate) marl in the Kisgerecse Formation of Hungary.
