Pseudovidrioceras girtyi
Taxonomy
Vidrioceras girtyi was named by Miller and Cline (1934). Its type specimen is USGS 1726 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 988i, Raymond Canyon, Sublette Range, which is in a Roadian offshore shale in the Phosphoria Formation of Wyoming. It is the type species of Pseudovidrioceras.
It was recombined as Pseudovidrioceras girtyi by Bogoslovskaya (1990), Leonova (2002).
