Taxonomy
Timanotrypa borealis was named by Morozova (1970). Its type specimen is PIN 1692/548 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mar'ina Gora Village, Pinega River, Arkhangel Region, which is in a Roadian marine horizon in the Russian Federation.
