Neophlycticeras (Neophlycticeras) fascicostatum was named by Kennedy (2005). Its type specimen is USNM 520185, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Between Mansfield Road and the Federal Narcotics Farm, which is in a Cenomanian carbonate carbonate in Texas.
