Taxonomy
Pervinquieria fallax was named by Breistroffer (1940). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Mortoniceras fallax by Latil (1995); it was recombined as Mortoniceras (Mortoniceras) fallax by Kennedy et al. (2008), Sharifi et al. (2016).
