Taxonomy
Hollandites congressensis was named by Bucher (1992). Its type specimen is USNM 444107 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Congress Canyon, HB 119, Northern Humboldt Range, which is in a Bithynian offshore limestone/siltstone in Nevada.
