Taxonomy
Orthothetina deminuta was named by Zhan (1979). Its type specimen is K-0053 and is a mold. Its type locality is Shuizhutang, Lianxian Area, Shuizhutang Fm, which is in a Wuchiapingian coastal siliciclastic in the Shuizhutang Formation of China.
