Taxonomy
Hemileurus orbicularis was named by Jin and Sun (1981). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tunlonggongba 76AR42, Duoma, Rutog, which is in an Artinskian marine horizon in the Tunlonggongba Formation of China.
