Taxonomy
Acrochordonia was named by Schrammen (1901). It is not extant. Its type is Acrochordonia ramosa. It is the type genus of Acrochordoniinae.

It was assigned to Dicranocladina by Hurcewicz (1966); and to Acrochordoniinae by Finks et al. (2004).
