Taxonomy
Julfotoceras tarazi was named by Bando (1973). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Abadeh Section, Unit 7, Section C, Hambast Mts, which is in a Changhsingian marine limestone in the Hambast Formation of Iran. It is the type species of Julfotoceras.
