Hemiprionites typus

Cephalopoda - Ceratitida - Prionitidae

Taxonomy
Goniodiscus typus was named by Waagen (1895). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chidroo, high in Upper Ceratite Limestone, Salt Range, which is in a Smithian marine marl in the Upper Ceratite Limestone Formation of Pakistan.

It was recombined as Hemiprionites typus by Spath (1934), Kummel (1968), Kummel (1969), Brühwiler and Bucher (2012), Brayard et al. (2013), Brayard et al. (2021), Dai et al. (2023).
