Taxonomy
Waagenites irregularis was named by Lee and Su (1980). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Zhagan Chulu, Sijiashan Formation, Bayan Wulan, Jalaid Qi, which is in a Wordian marine horizon in the Sijiashan Formation of China.
