Guettardia striata was named by Schrammen (1912). It is not extant. Its type locality is Teutonia Nord quarry, Late Campanian, Misburg, which is in a Campanian offshore shelf marl/limestone in Germany.
It was recombined as Guettardiscyphia striata by Finks et al. (2004).
