Taxonomy
Koipatoceras kraffti was named by Bucher (1994). Its type specimen is USNM 452824 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Muller Canyon HB 234, Augusta Mountains, which is in a Pelsonian marine horizon in Nevada.
