Taxonomy
Lyria (Indolyria) maniyaraensis was named by Harzhauser et al. (2009). Its type specimen is NHMW 2008z0255/0008, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Maniyara Fort, Bermoti, which is in a Chattian shallow subtidal limestone in the Maniyara Fort Formation of India.
