Taxonomy
Ripernites pressulus was named by Leonova (1983). Its type specimen is PIN 3591/121 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Shindy River, Sample 26/1, Pamir Mountains, which is in a Kungurian marine horizon in the Kyzyldzhilga Formation of Tajikistan.
