Taxonomy
Tritonium incrassatum was named by Müller (1773). It is extant.

It was recombined as Nassa incrassata by Wood (1848) and Wood (1879); it was recombined as Buccinum incrassatum by Hörnes (1852); it was recombined as Nassarius (Hima) incrassatus by Chirli (2000); it was recombined as Nassarius incrassatus by Landau et al. (2009).
