Taxonomy
Mitra subscrobiculata was named by d'Orbigny (1852) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Miocene-Recent; Indian Ocean.]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Mitra chinensis subscrobiculata by Vredenburg (1921), Vredenburg (1925), Mukerjee (1939); it was recombined as Nebularia subscrobiculata by Harzhauser et al. (2009).
